Can we train a new member of staff to deliver the NELI programme (e.g., to replace someone who is absent)?

Yes. We highly recommend that more than one staff member completes the full online training (approx. 8–10 hours) so your school is prepared for any unforeseen circumstances.

Because we now use Single Sign-On (SSO), adding a new trainee is instant and no longer requires waiting for email invitations from FutureLearn.

How to add a new trainee:

  1. Add the User: The School Lead or Admin must first add the new staff member in the 'Users' tab of the OxEd Portal.
  2. Assign the Role: Ensure they are added with the appropriate permissions to access training.
  3. Instant Access: Once added, the new staff member simply logs into the OxEd Portal. On the new Landing Page, they can click the 'Training' link and will be automatically signed into FutureLearn to begin immediately.
